October News In 3rd Grade

October has been a very busy month. I have really enjoyed getting to know your children. I am pleased with the progress that they are making in my class. We will continue to study Early Man, all of the students seem very interested and engaged. We had a great time at the La Brea Tar Pits, this is is a place that is so fantastic, and supplements our studies so well; it really, visually brought things to life. I want to thank all of the parents who attended. We have just finished man's discovery of fire, and we will continue to discover man's discovery and quest of his surroundings. It is so interesting to consider where we came from, and where we're at today; and how far we have come.

All of the students have received Casa Pacifica cards to decorate for the needy children in our community. I would like to see 100% participation from our class. This is a simple project that will help to brighten a child's life around Halloween.  We have our Fall Festival this next Friday, with contributions at the assembly. The teachers love to dress up, so look out !!!
